Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4830TG-6808 review

Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4830TG-6808 review

Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4830TG-6808 14-inch Laptop (Cobalt Blue)

I bought this laptop few days ago and received on Saturday, so today is the day that I had a lot of time to do a thorough review.

I ran 3DMark 11 and 7, does not seem to work best on 3D Mark 11, but I confess I do not really try to see which are appropriate. I think it was around 2300, when 3DMark7 are not sure how good the graphics work, since I have not been able to tamper with the settings. I know that you can set forever.
I have not installed any games on my computer yet, so I tested further in a later time. Also, I only have a small stream. I have no problems. Depending on how things are spec'ed out, I do not see any problems with streaming HD or processor-intensive applications, since this is by far the strongest of this computer. The user experience for Windows 7, it is processed.

Installing the software is incredibly fast because of my i5 processors eventually upgrade to 8GB of memory, 4GB, but will do fine for now.
Two big things I noticed and I'm glad I read some comments on a set X is.A very solid construction of the case. I like the feel of it. The plastic is hard and thick enough not to bend metal and feels just fine. It is possible to obtain fingerprints on the lid.(Lens cleaner works like a charm in the case), but a big problem.
The two have been streaming live video on Youtube about it, and never gets hot on my lap. My old Gateway 6860-FX is a key issue during the summer. (The reason why I'm getting a new laptop died) I just received a very warm and I only noticed a little 'hot when running 3DMark11, but I use the fan is not usually a problem. I was worried that there will be smaller than the heat, but Acer seems to have arrived with a good design.
It's no secret the battery life is phenomenal. It was not long enough to test my power cord.I used it for over an hour the battery and the battery gauge barely moved. My old door to more than half dead by then.
Some people do not like chiclet keyboard, but I like it so far. He has a good feel to it. And when I do not feel like using at home I use a wireless keyboard with a numberpad and my laptop does not have one, so I use my wireless keyboard. Button on the left is a little 'small. There is a small problem with my printer.
Paper (right), I just need the right skin.
I did not have any games to try, but maybe I made the Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II the first game to do a test with the highest graphics settings. I hope this will improve in a week or so.
UPDATE:.
OK, now it's been a couple of weeks ago, I can add a little 'more work I have The Sims 3 and the Battle for Middle Earth II without problems, I did not set anything special. I'm pretty sure that the game will run on Intel Graphics are quite good.
Then I tried to run the demo for Mass Effect 2 and 3, and there are some problems ..ME2 is a mistake every time I go in the menu. But I think I understand them. Basically, I have a problem with switchable graphics, not much of a headache. I think it has to do with the battery. When I connect, it seems to work. When the software to scan my system does the GeForce 540M, I think it's also because my 3DMark11 CPU Sandy Bridge is a problem because, while the 540M is a DirectX10 DirectX11.
So I messed around with the settings to make sure everything is running at 540M, and download new drivers from Nvidia since then I have a problem at all with ME2. I try to set up and see how it works. I just finished the demo for ME3 and smoothly.
What I do not know is if I put on the battery if I can run those games or not. But when I play, usually plug it in, I just hope I pass all the nodes with selectable graphics, so I'm sticking with 4 stars.
Oh, and the laptop gets a little 'hot when you play. But I use the large cooling fan to relieve that. Otherwise, when it is just really nice to do something you normally work.
